DUCA – 2 YEAR WARRANTY CERTIFICATE
Warranty Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Warranty
DUCA guarantees that all products purchased and installed by a registered industry professional supplied are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of invoice, provided that the product is installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with DUCA’s technical instructions and good industry practice.
Products purchased and installed by non-qualified professionals are warrantied for a period of 12 months from the date of invoice.
A product is considered defective only if the failure arises from DUCA-related material, design, or manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover material incompatibility arising from system conditions such as water composition, contamination, scaling, or chemical exposure unless this was confirmed in writing by DUCA beforehand.
2. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not apply in the following cases:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Accidental, improper, or wilful damage.
- Misuse or installation in an unsuitable environment.
- Incorrect electrical connections, improper supply voltage, cavitation, dry running, insufficient water, water quality or system-related failures.
- Damage caused by sand, debris, abrasive materials, corrosion due to saline water, chemical or electrolytic action.
- Unauthorized modifications, disassembly, or repairs performed by non-authorized persons.
- Failure resulting from non-compliance with installation manuals, pump curves, or general operating instructions.
- Products contaminated with hazardous, toxic, or unknown liquids without proper declaration.
3. Warranty Claim Conditions
For any warranty claim to be valid:
- Customer must notify DUCA (or their authorised agent) within 30 days from the date the defect is discovered.
- Defective products must be returned together with:
- Proof of purchase (invoice)
- Installation date
- Description of the failure
- Photos/videos when applicable.
- Products may not be disassembled before DUCA’s inspection.
- DUCA reserves the right to request additional information.
- Products exposed to hazardous liquids must include a cleanliness declaration.
- Water samples for testing may be requested. Water testing will be charged to the customer but credited if the water quality is found not to be detrimental to the product.
4. Remedy of Defects
If DUCA confirms a defect within the warranty period, DUCA will, at its discretion:
- Repair the product, or
- Replace the product, or
- Provide an equivalent product if the original model is no longer available.
The original warranty period continues and does not restart after repair or replacement.
For returned products, credits will only be issued upon completion of the unit testing.
5. Limitations of Liability
DUCA is not liable for:
- Loss of profit,
- Business interruption,
- Loss of contracts,
- Loss of data,
- Consequential or indirect damages.
DUCA’s total liability shall not exceed 30% of the invoice value of the defective product(s).
Nothing limits DUCA’s liability for death or injury caused by negligence or fraud.
6. Third-Party Products
Products sold by DUCA but manufactured by third parties are subject to the manufacturer's warranty unless stated otherwise.
7. Consumer Rights
End-users may rely on local consumer protection laws where applicable.
8. Repair Period
If a defect cannot be repaired, DUCA may temporarily replace the product. Repair time is added to the warranty period.
